RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process through which men and women, along with the guidance, prayer, and fellowship of volunteer catechists and other practicing Catholics from the parish, learn about and prepare to enter into the Catholic faith through the Sacraments of Initiation.
The RCIA process involves several different steps of initiation into the Church. The first of these steps is the “inquiry period”. The purpose of the inquiry period is to discuss basic ideas of the Catholic faith and answer the big and small questions that the potential catechumens might have. The parish encourages any who are curious about the faith to participate in the inquiry period so that they might understand what Catholics really believe. Participation in the inquiry process is not a commitment to join the Church.
If you are interested in the RCIA process or if you have any questions about sacramental preparation, please contact Abby Thompson at the Parish Center for more information or email ststandre@ststan.net. We would love to walk with you on your journey of faith!
