Parish School of Religion (PSR) provides a consistent source of catechetical instruction to youth who do not attend Catholic schools. The goal of PSR is for young people to grow in intimacy with the Lord, become knowledgeable about their Catholic faith, and integrate the teachings of the Gospel into their lives. PSR serves as a source of supplemental faith formation for children to go alongside the formation that they receive from their parents at home. Our parish religion programs also prepare young people for the reception of first sacraments.

PSR is facilitated by a team of catechists from the parish who serve, pray with, and teach children of the parish in a classroom setting. These catechists volunteer and are supported by the priest and the director of religious education, who guide the catechists in the topics and manner of their teaching.

Currently, our PSR programs serve youth in grades K-7 and take place on Wednesday evenings. This includes sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation (2nd grade), First Communion (2nd grade), and Confirmation (7th grade).

Please contact the Director of Religious Education, Abby Thompson, at the Parish Center to inquire about registering your student for PSR Classes or to ask any questions regarding sacramental preparation for youth.
